Certified Angus Beef Program
Artists sign their work, and we sign ours with an Organic Approach. Unlike large manufacturers that put their trademark on each product sold, our trademark is our passion to produce a quality product free of chemicals and additives that destroy not only the line but the taste. Our product identification is the satisfied customers that we strive to create.
We are currently producing what our growing customer base thinks is very the best beef eating experience there is. We call it “All Natural Beef”, and that’s just what it is. Beef raised with no Hormones, Steroids, or animal by-products. Our cows run on dryland pasture grass in the late spring and summer, and are fed high quality Alfalfa/grass, grass hay (from the same kind of pastures they graze in summer) and wheat straw, along with a small amount of locally grown grain supplements like corn, oats, wheat, barley and peas, as well as a professionally formulated ( ADM Animal Health & Nut.) Vitamin / Mineral supplement that not only keeps our cows healthy, but also produces the most tender, juicy meat you can buy!
In order for meat to be consistently tender and flavorful you must have marbling. And the only way to get consistent marbling is to feed grain. Some types of cattle are genetically superior at marbling than others, but the best way to enhance those genetics is with grain.
We still believe in a Holistic approach to raising animals in a low stress, environmentally-friendly manner. But the process of strictly grass fed is not feasible in our area. And we have seen, and read where grass fed beef is an inferior product compared to grain finished, and producing the best product possible should be the goal we all strive for. Our program has been called Organic without the certification . We just can’t find enough Organic feed to be certified, but our customers are happy to just live by the same rules as Organic and provide a more affordable and consistent product. Our meat is available by the the quarter, half and whole. Feel free to contact us at the farm for a price list or to place orders.
